The Supplement Craze
Do we really need to be taking all those supplements we see on TikTok? No, we don’t. The craze these days in the wellness community seems to be taking a wild amount of vitamins per day. In reality, our bodies are all different and produce different amounts of each vitamin. I like to meet with a holistic doctor and run tests on which vitamins I may be deficient in. Obviously, this is not the most affordable option, so i’ve listed the general supplements I think most people should take daily. (I am in no way a health professional so I cannot ensure this will work for everyone, but it works wonders for me and the people around me! Always consult your healthcare professional before starting any supplement, even over the counter ones.)
The first is a probiotic. I recommend a probiotic because it can help prevent GI negative symptoms and reduce inflammation in the gut. The second is a multivitamin. I believe every adult should take a multivitamin to get some essential nutrients in your system. Lastly, fish oil. Fish oil has all the fatty acids that your body needs; it helps reduce many factors for heart diseases and are essential for brain function since about 60% of your brain is made up of fat. The brand Thorne is free of gluten, fillers, and additives and made in facilities certified by TGA and NSF International. I added research articles supporting these three supplements so you can read for yourself!
